Project Overview

Project Title: Eco-Inclusion: Increasing the resilience of vulnerable adults through ecological education and circular economy (ECOIN-4VADU)

Brief Description

The ECOIN-4VADU project is a transnational initiative designed to address the intersection of environmental sustainability and social inclusion. It aims to integrate ecological education and circular economy principles into the educational programs of partner organizations working with marginalized groups. The project duration is 18 months. The project will facilitate the creation of a network of “ECO-promoters” who will lead awareness campaigns to foster sustainable lifestyles and reduce social exclusion across four European countries.

Project Objectives

• General Objective: To develop ecological skills and a sustainable mindset among vulnerable adults, contributing to their resilience, social integration, and transition to a sustainable lifestyle.
• Specific Objective 1: To increase the environmental skills and capacity of partner organizations to integrate environmental education and the circular economy into their core activities for vulnerable adults.
• Specific Objective 2: To raise awareness among vulnerable adults about the importance of sustainability, circular economy, and the ecological impact of daily actions as a method of social inclusion.
• Specific Objective 3: To internationalize the activity of partner organizations by creating models of good practices through transnational collaboration and local initiatives.

Target Groups

• Vulnerable Adults: Individuals at risk of social exclusion, including the unemployed, low-income earners, migrants, refugees, people with disabilities, and those with low education levels.
• Partner Organization Members: Staff, collaborators, and volunteers who will receive specialized training and resources in environmental education and circular economy practices.
• Local Stakeholders: Public authorities, NGOs, educational institutions, and local entrepreneurs involved in policy development and community-level sustainability initiatives
